IGA Open Morning | 10th May

Updated: Mar 12

Want to know more about training in Group Analysis in London?

Join us between 10am and 12pm on the 10th of May to find out more about the training we offer. The session will offer attendees:

  • In depth introduction to IGA training courses on offer.

  • Chance to ask questions about courses to current course convenors and students.

  • Highlight the benefits of training with the IGA.

  • Allow you to register interest on one of our courses

  • Opportunity to socialise with like minded individuals.

The London IGA Open Morning introduces the genesis and development of group analytic ideas and training opportunities at the IGA in London and offers an opportunity to find out more about the various training courses. The London Course convenors will present the range of courses on offer and be available to answer your questions about the Institute and our training in London. Current student reps will also contribute to presentations and will be available to answer questions about their experiences of the courses.

IGA courses are available across the country and are staffed by expert clinicians, teachers, and supervisors. We will speak about the range of opportunities, although the focus for this afternoon will be London.  Our training courses are multi-tiered, flexible, and accessible.  For those who are not ready for a year commitment or who would like to have a taster opportunity, the Introductory Weekend would provide an initial glimpse into Group Analysis and what groups can offer.  The one-year Foundation Course constitutes the first stage of the training. Satisfactory completion of a Foundation Course is a requirement for progression to the one-year Diploma in Group Work Practice that can lead to Groupwork Practitioner Status and Associate Membership of the IGA.

Group Analytic training will equip students to understand and to participate more fully in a range of group settings including work, families, social learning, therapeutic and a range of online settings.

If you would like to know more about group analysis and group therapy, or how to continue your learning journey, we look forward to meeting you online on Friday 10th May.
