Diploma in Groupwork Practice (Manchester)

Venue: Group Analysis North, Newlands Estate, 315 Chorley New Road, Bolton, Greater Manchester BL1 5BP


This one-year course follows on from the Foundation Course and leads towards the status of Groupwork Practitioner and Associate Membership of the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA). The course takes place over eleven weekends during a year and is part of a training community which includes students on the Qualifying Course and those in their Foundation year. All students studying for the Manchester Diploma in Groupwork Practice receive group analytic psychotherapy as an integral part of their training experience.

Fees for the course include all elements of the training:

· Work reflection groups (30 hours)

· Seminars (20 seminars)

· Personal group therapy (50 sessions per year)

· Large Groups (20 per year)

· The National Learning Experience weekend

· Five half day online Friday workshops

· Membership of the Group Analytic Society (including access to Group Analysis journal on-line)
