Applicants who do not have a first degree are required to submit an essay to demonstrate their theoretical ability. As a requirement for entry onto the Diploma Course the essay will be assessed to be to the required standard.
Essay Title: Critically explore the therapeutic use of boundaries in a group
Essay Length: The essay should be 1,500 words long
References and Bibliography: The essay should quote and make direct reference to original group analytic texts, in particular Foulkes. The essay should include a fully annotated bibliography of texts referred to.
Marking Criteria: Essay will be marked according to the criteria in the table below. Essays should demonstrate competence in each of these criteria.
Entry Essay Marking Criteria
Marking: Entry Essays will be marked by the Director of Training and a member of the National Team of Markers.
Submission: Applicants should submit essays to Tina Marfo, Senior Training Administrator, training@groupanalysis-uk.co.uk  at least 1 month prior to the start date of the course.
Feedback: Applicants will be given written feedback from both markers
