Private View: Ordinary Journeys

PRIVATE VIEW: 10th January 2019, from 5:45PM

VENUE: IGA, 1 Daleham Gardens, London NW3 5BY

We are delighted to invite you to our 2019/2020 Winter art exhibition showing photographs by Luiza Machado. The work is a selection from the past three years, taken exclusively during a commute to work from St Leonards to Folkestone Central.

Luiza Machado is a Group Analytic Psychotherapist currently working in a NHS Therapeutic Community. Luiza holds a degree in Plastic Arts from the University of Brasilia, Brazil, is a Goldsmith Fine Art Graduate and a self-funding artist with a studio practice in St Leonards on Sea. Her work can be seen regularly at the town’s annual arts festival, Coastal Currents.

Luiza will be part of a three-way conversation with fellow Group Analytic Psychotherapists Joan Fogel and Jacqueline Fogden exploring, amongst other themes, some of the challenges of working as a therapist and an artist. The presenters trained together, the final cohort at WPF, pursued their professional lives independently and are coming together for this event around their shared interests.
