The course is open to graduates of the IGA Diploma in Group Analysis in St Petersburg, including those whose final paper is with the IGA International Course Committee in London.  Other professionals with an equivalent qualification, or who have exceptional relevant professional experience and training are welcome to apply.

Successful applicants will be expected to be working as supervisors with a group of supervisees by the start of the course in September 2014, or be planning to do so. The training is psychodynamic in its orientation, but is open to qualified therapists from other trainings, who are interested in Using the Group as the Medium for Supervision. It is an intensive course for professionals.

There will be an Interview and Assessment weekend, then three ‘block’ weekends with additional Skype lectures and ‘supervision of supervision’.

First is the weekend for Interviews and Selection for the Course.  It is important to attend this weekend on the Friday evening as there will be some introductory information and discussions about the course.

Then there are three further block weekends consisting of theory teaching and experiential work.  In addition there will be some lectures/seminars by Skype and ‘Supervision of Group Supervision’ by Skype. There is theoretical reading and a 5,000-word essay to complete in order to qualify.

    Interviews and Selection: April 11th – 13th, 2014

    Block 1: September 26th – 28th, 2014
    Block 2: December 5th – 7th 2014
