Professional Indemnity Insurance

To protect your professional practice and reputation, we urge our members to purchase professional indemnity insurance and to ensure it is renewed annually.

To understand more about the insurance you need to support your practice, you might find it helpful to read the UKCP’s Insurance Explained factsheet which can be found on their website: UKCP | Professional indemnity insurance

Whilst the IGA cannot advise our members as to which insurers they might choose, or recommend any specific companies, we have discovered that the following companies are known to specialise in insuring therapists and we have managed to negotiate special rates with them:

These negotiated rates are a member benefit to support and help you manage the costs of your professional practice. The IGA does not receive a commission from these insurance companies.

Please note that the IGA does not and cannot accept liability in relation to your decision regarding insurance or in relation to the performance of any insurance company in relation to claims.

Please contact the individual insurance companies directly if you require further information or would like to discuss your insurance needs in more detail.
